A Sad Story of Georgian Independent TV Station<

REPORT OF THE DAY

   * FUNERAL RALLY WILL BE HELD OUTSIDE THE PARLIAMENT BUILDING TOMORROW. 
The participants will bring to the parliament bulding two symbolic coffins
and a placard with the words:  " For the third and fourth powers.  The
first's head has been cut off, and the second cut its head itself". The
ci- vil funeral will be held in connection with the closure of the
Rustavi-2 TV channel.( Details in Obituary). 

   * ON SEPTEMBER 17 NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS OF GEORGIA WILL HOLD A
MARCH. Participants of the action, aimed to support the Rustavi-2 TV chan-
nel, will march from the Cinema House up to the Parliament building with
the motto "Constitutionl rights and the freedom of speech". The action
par- ticipants intend to appeal to the Georgian Preisdent to ensure a just
hea- rings of the Rustavi-2 case. 


OBITUARY

   The Georgian government reports with a deep sorrow that the authority
of powers suffered a severe bereavement. During the execution of its
obligati- ons and unknown circumstances the free press died. In the memory
of the de- ceased the filling station owned by the NPL studio stopped its
work for an hour's time. The dead body of the deceased will be brought out
on September 17 at 14.00 from the Cinema House, 2, Broth.  Kakabaze
street. The burial expences are paid by the government.  A commission for
burial headed by the State Security Minister Shota KViraia has been set
up.  Members of the com- mission are kept secret.
